Tetra Pak to invest another million euros in Serbia



Tetra Pak, one of the global leaders in the field of food processing and packing solutions, has recently completed the purchase of 1,6 hectares near its plant in Gornji Milanovac, and the works it has started in this location should be completed by March 2018. As the company’s press release says, new investments will enable it to increase its storage space and enhance its logistics processes, reduce the truck loading time and improve the precision and accuracy of deliveries. This investments, including additional works on the land, is estimated at EUR 1 million, bringing Tetra Pak’s investments in Gornji Milanovac in 2017 to a total of EUR 6 million.

"Gornji Milanovac is an important part of the production system of Tetra Pak. Since it is located in the middle of the region of Europe and Central Asia, it is strategically positioned in a way that enables it to serve as a support to all the business ambitions in the region. The plant currently supplies over 320 clients, and its products are exported to 54 markets throughout the world", stated Paulo Picca, Supply Chain Cluster Leader for Europe and Central Asia at Tetra Pak.

Tetra Pak points out that the development of the plant in Gornji Milanovac is reflected not only in the number of clients and the volume of production, which are ten times larger than 15 years ago, but also in an increased scope of activities and a larger portfolio, with over 170 different types of packaging being produced there.
